It all began in a small family winery in 1998, when Mar Bustamante decided to revive artisanal winemaking methods. During the early years, production was limited to three red varieties, sold in local markets. The commitment to quality over quantity paid off: in 2005, an exceptional vintage caught the attention of independent sommeliers, leading to the first distribution outside the region.
In 2012, the winery incorporated a gravity-fed fermentation system, reducing the use of pumps and preserving the integrity of the grape. That same year, the Reserva line received recognition in the Vinum Selecta guide. Since then, the team has grown to twelve people, and the estate has expanded to 18 hectares of certified organic vineyard. Today, Weathercraft Wine exports to four countries and maintains its commitment to manual harvesting and aging in French oak barrels.
